Our charming Balsamroot Bloomers! These bottoms are adorned with a beautiful embellishment depicting our native and historically-used Arrowleaf balsamroot plant, Balsamorhiza sagittata. Each embelishment is carefully handmade using the softest silk and chasmere mix of turkish yarn. The bloomers design by Babes in the Wool includes a crochet "grow-with-me" waistband which allows your child to wear them through 2 or 3 sizes, getting a lot of wear out of just one pair! The Balsamroot flower, with its vibrant yellow petals and heart-shaped leaves, brings a touch of natural elegance to these bloomers. The embellishments are thoughtfully placed along the backside, creating an eye-catching design that sets them apart from ordinary bottoms. The balsamroot plant provided an important food source for interior native people in British Columbia and was also commonly grazed on throughout the year by deer and elk!
